We absolutely love coming here. It's never crowded and we are able to bring our dog. Just wish there were a few tables so we could eat down there.
Dog beach! Is there anything more to be said?!? For the first time our scaredycat dog actually played fetch in the water and loved it. Yes, you are supposed to keep your dogs on a leash at all times, but we stayed super far away from others and she didn't disturb anyone. The lack of the full set of stars is because it's so small! It gets really crowded really quick so be sure to get there early and enjoy it when the waves aren't insane.
Teenage hangout. Illinois people have purchased most of the property. Still nice to visit....if people would keep pets off the beach.
If rocks are you quest perfect dog friendly beach. I look for mostly glass. Not easy find amongst the big rocks.
Local small dog friendly beach. Limited parking with more parking about a block away. Walk down a little wooded hill and you can see the lake. You need to cross a small creek to get to sandy beach. This provides the option of enjoying the wave less creek/river or wading into the waves of lake michigan. Nice friendly people who need to like kids and dogs. A pleasant and friendly location. Definitely a pleasant find!
